Ab Brightman is a trainer with the Young Trustees Movement. Ab is passionate about supporting young people to step into governance spaces and influence decision-making. Their work focuses on building inclusive leadership, strengthening participation, and ensuring young voices are meaningfully represented in boards and organisational leadership.

Ab brings experience in facilitating learning and supporting organisations to create spaces where young people are not just included, but genuinely valued in governance and leadership.

Through their work with the Young Trustees Movement, Ab supports young people and organisations to develop the skills, confidence and understanding needed to strengthen youth leadership in governance.

Amber Amoo-Gottfried is a trainer with the Young Trustees Movement. Amber is a youth empowerment advocate and learning designer for social change. Their work combines intersectional, interdisciplinary and intergenerational approaches to build inclusive social and climate action through a community-led approach.

Amber is deeply passionate about the power of young people to re-imagine how we work towards better futures, and about ensuring young people have a meaningful voice in decision-making spaces.

Outside of their work with the Young Trustees Movement, Amber is a UK Convenor for Climate Youth Resilience, a Campaigns Associate at Union of Justice, a Board Trustee at The Visionaries, and a Green Leader Youth Support Lead at Bristol Tree Craft.

Joe Hayman is the Interim CEO of the Young Trustees Movement. He brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector as a managing director, CEO, trustee, chair and founder.

Joe first became a trustee at the age of 27, an experience that shaped his belief in the transformational power of youth leadership and his passion for making boards more diverse, representative, inclusive and effective.

During his time as Interim CEO, Joe is focused on supporting the transition of the Young Trustees Movement from being fiscally hosted by Social Change Nest to becoming an independent charity, helping ensure the organisation has the foundations in place for success long into the future.

He joins the role with humility, aiming to lay strong foundations for the new independent charity that others will build on.

Joe is particularly looking forward to meeting members of the movement; funders, partners, and most importantly young trustees, and working together to strengthen youth leadership in governance.

Heidi helps with developing business and partnerships at The Young Trustees Movement. She enjoys working with organisations that are making a difference. With experience across children’s rights, sustainable solutions and community development she has held roles supporting with strategy and funding development.

Having began working life in documentary production, then moved into campaigning, Heidi uses her background in creating narrative to share the aims of organisations working for change. She has supported in areas from climate change, children's rights and international development to community energy and the arts.

Outside of work at YTM – currently at the helm of the mothership, supporting her young family to achieve their strategic goals too!

Mita has over 10 years’ experience in the Youth Sector and youth voice advocacy. She has worked for a variety of organisations including Envision, The University of Birmingham, The Challenge Network and Fearless Futures. She also holds a BA in Social Policy, has served as Chair of the British Youth Council, sat on the Advisory Board for Step Up To Serve and has mentored youth debating teams.

Mita is currently on maternity leave and will be back at the Young Trustees Movement in November.

Omolola Daniel is the Administrative Assistant at the Young Trustees Movement, bringing over a decade of executive support experience. She is passionate about inclusive leadership and committed to building systems that work for everyone, ensuring young and underrepresented voices are not just welcomed into leadership but actively shaping it.

Before joining YTM, she supported senior leaders and boards, including Vice Chancellors and government officials, bringing organisation, discretion, and heart to her roles. She has volunteered with organisations such as Disability Rights Advocacy Centre (DRAC), IChooseLife Foundation (ICLF), and serves as Board Administrator at Supporting Healthcare Heroes UK (SHH-UK), supporting governance and communications.

She is driven by a belief that leadership should be accessible, diverse, and community-informed, and finds joy in making a difference behind the scenes while helping create spaces where people feel seen and heard.

Rachel Perry is a trainer with the Young Trustees Movement. Rachel has over a decade of experience working in charitable organisations, with much of her work focused on supporting individuals and organisations to build knowledge, confidence and practical skills.

She has spent much of her career delivering training and learning programmes, particularly around climate and sustainability, helping people develop the tools needed to take meaningful action and contribute to positive change.

Through her work with the Young Trustees Movement, Rachel supports young people and organisations to strengthen their understanding of governance and leadership, helping create spaces where young trustees can contribute confidently and effectively to boards and decision-making.
