Claire is the CEO for the Young Trustees Movement. She has over a decade of experience in social justice work with a particular focus on youth voice, gender justice and community building. She is a trained facilitator, certified coach, mentor and trustee.

Claire is interested in the role of leadership and governance in nurturing organisations that are rooted in care. She seeks to bring her values of love, curiosity, courage, justice and joy into her work.

When Claire isn’t working you can find her walking, scouting out swimming spots and gardening in friends and families gardens.

Heidi helps with developing business and partnerships at The Young Trustees Movement. She enjoys working with organisations that are making a difference. With experience across children’s rights, sustainable solutions and community development she has held roles supporting with strategy and funding development.

Having began working life in documentary production, then moved into campaigning, Heidi uses her background in creating narrative to share the aims of organisations working for change. She has supported in areas from climate change, children's rights and international development to community energy and the arts.

Outside of work at YTM – currently at the helm of the mothership, supporting her young family to achieve their strategic goals too!

Mita has over 10 years’ experience in the Youth Sector and youth voice advocacy. She has worked for a variety of organisations including Envision, The University of Birmingham, The Challenge Network and Fearless Futures. She also holds a BA in Social Policy, has served as Chair of the British Youth Council, sat on the Advisory Board for Step Up To Serve and has mentored youth debating teams.

Mita is currently on maternity leave and will be back at the Young Trustees Movement in November.

Ria is the Communications and Administrative Assistant at Young Trustees Movement, having first been involved as an Intern whilst at university.

Ria is an organiser, campaigner and Croydon’s youngest-ever and first non-binary councillor. They are a councillor for Fairfield, Croydon’s town centre. Ria is also a trustee and director of Croydon Pride and Secretary for Croydon Community Energy.

Before being elected Ria studied psychology at university and was involved in various Green Party liberation groups, as well as campaigns for migrant justice, LGBTIQA+ rights and climate action. They would like to see a world where both people and the planet are able to thrive and where collective care is prioritised.
