We’re looking for three new Trustees to join our Board and help shape Storyhouse’s future.

We want people who share our values and vision, and who can bring their own life experiences, insights, and skills. You don’t need to have been a Trustee before – we’ll support you every step of the way.

The Hospital Broadcasting Association is seeking a dedicated and skilled Treasurer to join our Trustee Board.

The Treasurer plays a vital role in ensuring that the financial affairs of the Association are managed responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with charity law, legal and accounting standards. In addition, the Treasurer helps to guide the Association’s financial growth, sustainability, and long-term development.

As a Trustee, the Treasurer also shares responsibility for the overall governance and strategic direction of the Association.

We are currently seeking a Finance Trustee to join our Board as Treasurer. It’s a voluntary role that requires a committed individual with financial expertise to take a collaborative approach, supporting our Trustees, our Head of Finance and Governance, and our management team to oversee the financial affairs of our charity and ensure that they are legal, constitutional, and within accepted accounting practice.

GDWG is looking for a trustee to support the work of the charity. This is a targeted recruitment hoping to appoint a person with knowledge of HR and represents an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about social justice and who wants to make a meaningful impact. We are looking for candidates who bring energy, commitment and a fresh perspective to help shape our future.

GDWG visits people held in immigration detention at the two Immigration Removal Centres based at Gatwick.  Our ten staff and 90 volunteers provide emotional and practical support for people detained at the two Immigration Removal Centres at Gatwick in addition to supporting our outreach project Refugee Tales; a walking and storytelling project.

Detention is a frightening experience.  Some have applied for asylum and face refusal; some have been arrested on arrival in this country; many have been living here for years or are brought to detention after serving a prison sentence. People in detention have no idea when they will be released as there is no time limit on immigration detention in the UK, unlike in every other country in Europe.
