Kids in Museums is looking to recruit two new Young Trustees to join our Board.
Since 2019, Kids in Museums has retained Board seats for two young people aged 18-25. Supported by our Youth Panel, they ensure that young people’s thoughts and ideas are integral to our programme. We welcome applications from all young people interested in shaping the museums, galleries and heritage sites of the future.
As a Young Trustee, you’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills, meet and learn from senior sector leaders and build your understanding of how a cultural organisation works.
We don’t expect you to have any prior experience of being a Trustee or how charities are run. If you’re 18–25, passionate about involving young people in culture and heritage and committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, we’d love to hear from you.

Article 39 is a children’s rights charity fighting for children and young people in institutional settings; including children’s homes, residential schools, mental health inpatient units, Secure Training Centres, and Young Offender Institutions. We exist because children in these settings are too often unseen, unheard, and unaware of their rights, which are too often broken.
We are looking for new trustees with a range of skills and experience, and are actively seeking to include young people (aged 18+) on our Board, recognising the insight, challenge and leadership that younger trustees can bring to governance and decision-making.
