Amelia is a Trustee of the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET). She first became involved in the organisation during Sixth Form when I completed their Lessons from Auschwitz Project.

Amelia is currently the Young Trustees Movement Ambassador in the West Midlands.

Alice graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016 with a First Class Honours degree in Psychology, before completing her Health Psychology Masters in 2017 with Distinction, focusing on behaviour change, altruism and voluntary blood donation. Alice has experience working professionally and voluntarily within a range of third sector organisations, most extensively within a senior leadership role for a children and young people’s charity. Alice is passionate about the importance of diverse perspectives for strong decision making, and empowering young people to have their voices heard.

Kahvan is an award-winning higher education professional and advocate for race equity who is passionate about influencing change in education and wider society.

Outside of work, Kahvan is a founder of the akhi&saltfish Digital Network, hosting podcasts on his interests including music, combat sports and inclusive stories.

Kerry is an experienced civil servant currently working in Central Government. Kerry has worked in a number of public sector organisations in roles ranging from operations and frontline delivery to  policy, finance and recruitment.

Kerry currently runs a cross public and third sector project for aspiring board members.

Morgan is a Trustee of The Young Trustees Movement, joining the Board in December 2023 to take a lead on the financial governance of the organisation. Prior to joining the Young Trustees Movement, Morgan was a Trustee and Officer of Sheffield's Students Union, whilst simultaneously serving as the elected Treasurer of The British Youth Council. With a background in youth empowerment since the age of 15 through the National Citizen Service, Morgan has advocated for youth voice to be at the heart of decision making in multiple sectors, and is passionate about enabling more financially experienced and qualified people to feel supported giving their time and skills to taking up trustee and other voluntary roles, and making impacts in their communities. When not undertaking Trustee duties, Morgan is an Auditor and Trainee Chartered Accountant at PwC, working in the Renewables sector.

Ria is a Community Engagement and Projects Officer at Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, where she actively engages with diverse communities and delivers impactful research projects that inform changes in health and care services. She has a background in project management, fundraising, campaigning and youth advocacy.

At age 14, Ria led a successful campaign to prevent the closure of the Children’s Cardiac Unit at Leicester’s Glenfield Hospital, garnering over 100,000 petition signatures and ensuring its survival. Driven by her passion for youth representation, Ria also served as a former twice-elected member of the UK Youth Parliament and Leicester’s Young People’s Council, where she represented young people on both local and national levels. Her experiences serve as a testament to her belief that young people can bring about meaningful change and have sparked her passion for ensuring that young people are not excluded in decision-making processes.

Takyiwa is policy professional, currently working as an Education Policy Advisor at Sightsavers. With over a decade’s experience in the global development sector Takyiwa has always been a strong advocate for amplifying the voices of communities often excluded from decision-making spaces, with a particular interest in addressing issues of inclusion, equity and diversity. She is proud to support young people advocating for global issues, having previously represented the UK as youth delegate herself at the United Nations General Assembly (2017), been a youth campaigner as part of Action 2015 and was one of two youth trustees for VSO (2017-19).

Takyiwa is also a collage artist and facilitator, using the creative practice to reflect on her experiences of race, social justice issues and global development through her work with “Power in Pieces”. Motivated by challenging unjust systems, her collages raise questions about social challenges often side-lined in the mainstream.
