An Update from Young Trustees Movement
We’ve got some exciting news for everyone in our network and beyond. We’re now in the position to be able to offer a limited number of sponsored places on Board Boost, our six-month trustee accelerator programme for young people aged 30 and under.
Board Boost offers a supportive, values-based peer-learning environment for young people who are already trustees on charity boards, or looking to become a trustee in the near future.
Being a trustee can be challenging at the best of times, but there are some unique barriers to trusteeship that are encountered by young people. We created Board Boost to provide young people with all the wrap-around support and training they need to feel confident and thrive in a trustee role. We do this through delivering five core modules of training and one in-person training session. The core modules are:
- Governance Basics
- From Good to Great Governance
- Case Study Deep Dive
- Finance Focus
- Confidence, Curiosity & Mindset
We had some excellent feedback from previous participants in the programme last year and we’re extremely excited to have already had a fantastic range of charities and young people sign up for the 2026 cohort.
