Introducing the Young Trustees Movement ‘Peer Action Series’!

Grace Jeremy

19 May 2022

Launching next week, our new free sessions are a supportive space for Trustees who want to develop the diversity, inclusion, and accessibility of their Boards.

Taking Action to Diversify Your Board - Peer Learning Course

From our conversations with Boards, we identified a clear need for more time to really dig into challenges and come up with practical solutions, moving from theory to taking meaningful actions. A space where people could share and learn from each other was also wanted.

Our new peer learning group hopes to meet these needs, creating opportunities for you to hear from others in the charity sector, share where you are, and get advice and support to take action.

We are facilitating 3 sessions- you can come to any or all of them! You will get:

  • Top tips from guest speakers who are experienced young trustees
  • Structure for setting goals and making them happen.
  • Time to learn/reflect in a supportive environment with your peers.
  • Non-judgemental, confidential space.
  • Networking opportunities.

The sessions will focus around active challenges the group are facing.

A different young trustee will present each week on a specific theme, but the following conversations and action-setting can be on any issue you are currently experiencing around diversifying your board.

The 3 Guest Speaker are:

  • Kate - Onboarding and Good Practice - Thur 26th May 12-1pm
  • Abiodun - Diverse Recruitment - Thur 30th June 12-1pm
  • Rodolfo - Beyond Board Meetings: staying active between quarterly meetings  - Thur 28th July 12-1pm
