We’re delighted to welcome Ab Brightman to the Young Trustees Movement as one of our new Trainers Ab joins us as someone who is deeply committed to social change, collaboration, and creating spaces where young people are not just included, but truly valued in decision-making.
Ab Brightman is a dynamic trainer and co-designer working for social change. She collaborates with nonprofits, impactful organisations and the people they support to create and develop new ideas, skills and strategies.
Ab's background is rooted in creativity, human-centred design and non-formal education; a learning style that centres learning through doing, and from each other.
“Young people are impacted by every social issue in this country, and speaking to them it's clear that they want to contribute to the decisions that shape how organisations tackle them. Yet so often I've seen environments that aren't open to young people, or get them doubting their own wisdom so that they are excluded from this opportunity. I'm excited to work with a movement that's changing and challenging this, and supporting young people and boards to make big progress together.”
What excites us most about working with Ab is her belief in learning by doing, co-creation, and challenging systems that unintentionally exclude young voices. Her work strongly aligns with our mission to support young people and boards to make meaningful progress together
We’re so pleased to have you with us, Ab. Welcome to the movement
