We’re so pleased to share that Rachel Perry has joined the Young Trustees Movement as one of our Trainers, and we’re excited to have her as part of the Movement. Rachel brings over a decade of experience working in charitable organisations, with much of her career focused on delivering climate and sustainability training to university students and staff.
Rachel Perry is deeply passionate about the non-profit sector and currently works in a freelance capacity, supporting organisations to thrive through operations support and training. Rachel is also a Trustee at the Conflict and Environment Observatory (CEOBS), an organisation working to reduce harm to people and ecosystems caused by armed conflict and military activities. Originally from South London, Rachel is now based in Leeds.
“The lack of representation on charity boards is a crisis. How can we expect our organisations to address the world’s biggest challenges when they are led by such a narrow sub-section of our communities? Being a Trustee can also be an incredibly rewarding and enriching role, that everyone should have an opportunity to experience. I can’t wait to meet others in the Movement to grow our reach and impact together.
I am so excited to be supporting the Young Trustees Movement as a Trainer, bringing together my passions for charity governance and youth leadership. I am looking forward to creating inclusive training spaces which empower young people and support people of all ages to champion meaningful youth leadership in our sector.
Welcome to the team, Rachel, we’re so glad to have you with us
