We are looking for people who combine passion with professionalism. We are particularly keen to receive applications from people who have an understanding of the lives and experiences of the young people we work with, of working in youth development, and of charity operations or governance.

We don’t expect to find all of those qualities in one person. Crucially, we are interested in how you will be different to our existing trustees, rather than how you will be similar to them.

We are interested in how you will bring empathy for the young people we work with, at the same time as strengthening the skills of the board of trustees.

We would very much welcome applications from younger people. If you feel you lack experience as a trustee but can bring insight to our work and a willingness to learn new skills, then we will welcome and support you.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in delivering a vital community service. We need new trustees to join a friendly and welcoming trustee board, to help us make decisions about managing a community advice centre and working together to secure its future.

The free and independent advice we provide changes people’s lives for the better. We have been providing advice and information to people in central Bristol for over 40 years.

We would welcome people who have an interest in social justice and improving the quality of people’s lives.

We are at an exciting point in our development and are seeking to appoint a trustee who will bring higher education expertise to our board. We seek in-depth knowledge of higher education and strategic thinking on how the sector is evolving especially through the use of digital platforms.

Based in Westminster for over 30 years, the Cardinal Hume Centre is at an exciting stage in our development. We need three new trustees to help.

We start with the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to live a full life. But we know that homelessness and poverty can wreck that potential. Too often homelessness at a young age is repeated and compounded in later life. Our renewed vision is to increase our focus on young people, children and their families. We want to be a Centre that welcomes and includes. As part of this we would really like to hear from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We would particularly like to encourage young people who are too regularly under-represented at Board level to apply.

We are currently seeking strong trustees and local school governors with a range of skills, experience and diverse perspectives to support and challenge our school leaders and ensure the best education for our children and young people.

Trustees collectively distribute over £1m annually to children and young people's projects across Cumbria and North Lancashire. They are also responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Trust, agreeing investment objectives and providing oversight of the day to day management of the small staff team.
