We are seeking trustees who share our enthusiasm for this unique project and commitment to preserving this important legacy for the nation and can contribute their specialist knowledge to help guide the charity's development. All trustees must adhere to the principles of public life.

SASC Trust is a new grant-making charity. It is currently developing its grant-making guidelines and approach, ahead of the launch of its first funding round in early 2026. Ahead of this first round of grant-making, the Board are seeking to recruit additional Trustees to strengthen the organisation’s capacity and capability.

We are actively seeking new Trustees to join our Board. If you have business experience, particularly in the IT, HR, finance or legal sectors, and would like to use your skills and knowledge to help steer our amazing charity and play a key role in shaping the charity’s future, we would love to hear from you.

The Association of Carers supports unpaid family carers across East Sussex with free volunteer led services. We provide a number of different services including Respite with Befriending, Computer Help at Home, Healthcare Appointment cover, and a telephone Talk and Support service. We also run lunch clubs and carers cafes. Our aim is to encourage independence and reduce social isolation. We have been in existence for over 30 years, providing a lifeline for so many.

We hold 12 board meetings per year so the role demands and average of a day a month of dedicated time spent on charity business, such as trustee meetings and reporting on the charity’s accounts. Some additional time will also be needed for contact and meeting the Chair, and individual trustees.
