The Friends of Jubilee Pool (FoJP) is a registered Charity (no. 1200342) following a successful local campaign to prevent the closure of Jubilee Pool and Gym in late 2020. In 2022 FOJP signed a 35 year fully repairing lease to maintain and operate the Pool through a Community Asset Transfer. The FoJP currently has 5 Trustees, we are seeking 2 additional Trustees to join our board to help steer our strategy, ensure our long-term sustainability and bring fresh energy and ideas.
Trustees do not need to be users of the pool or have previous Board experience.
Trustees meet monthly either in person or face to face and each Trustee takes a lead on a key area of development linking into other volunteers.
Time commitment – Monthly Trustees meeting, plus additional time spent dealing with ongoing projects and unforeseen issues, liaising with volunteers, attending events and representing the Charity and Jubilee Pool where required.
