Gatis is a volunteer-led, grassroots community centre and garden in the heart of Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton. Our vision is to create a future where everyone in our community is respected for their gifts and talents, and nobody is discriminated against. A future where the planet and its resources are protected and celebrated.
As a volunteer director, you would be joining the leadership team at a very exciting point in our journey. After 11 years of serving the community, we are now beginning a five-year funded project to bring nature into Whitmore Reans and ensure sustainability for the long term.
There are two roles available, dependent on experience:
– First time volunteer directors
– Directors with experience
A note on diversity: We want our leadership team to reflect the community we serve. We know that global majoriy people, disabled people, and people with working class backgrounds, are under-represented in leadership roles across the voluntary sector. We particularly encourage applications from people of these backgrounds.
